Spring Grove, Pennsylvania’s Brian Leppo turned in an
impressive display of driving Saturday night to capture
his first career Lincoln Speedway 410 Sprint car feature win.
The win was the second of Leppo’s sprint car career, his first
coming back in June 2004 at Susquehanna Speedway Park.
 After a great second half of the 2004 season, Leppo was
hoping for a big 2005 season not only at Lincoln but at
Williams Grove and Susquehanna as well. A career-best
runner-up finish three weeks ago at Williams Grove was
what the team hoped would turn them in a positive
direction. However, since that time, bad luck has followed
the third-year sprint car ace.
 Saturday at Lincoln, Leppo raced his way to the front by
the fifth lap of the sprint car feature then held on during two
restarts to secure that first win at a track that he had five
fast time awards at in 2004.  “It’s definitely the best feeling ever,” said the 25-year-old Leppo, who is racing three nights a week this season and plans an August trip to the Knoxville Nationals. “We’ve been trying forever to win here so it feels awesome.
This is what it’s all about.”

The win was a big confidence booster for Leppo, his crew
chief Dave Yingst and the entire Leppo Racing crew.
 “I have to thank my mom and dad, my grandparents, my
crew and my sponsors for always being there and being
positive,” Leppo said. “This is a complete team effort and
hopefully this will turn things around for us.”
